Developing
a Clinical Strategy to meet the needs of the people of the Western
Isles
This is an exciting and challenging time for Western Isles Health
Board.

healthcare systems don't just happen - they have to be designed
and built together to meet the needs of the people we serve. We
want to design the very best we can for the people of the Western
Isles, within obvious constraints that we face here in the Western
Isles. We are striving towards excellence. We are meeting all
of our local and national targets that we are required to deliver
on - but we need to have a plan for the future, and that is what
this process is about."

The
process we have now put in place will develop a set of proposals
for the future delivery of health services for the people of the
Western Isles. These proposals will be developed by the end of
July 2008, and formal consultation and a decision on the way forward
will have taken place by the end of January 2009.
